A recent article by Computerworld had the shadow communications minister (Bruce Billson) chastising Senator Conroy (government communications minister) on his lack of detail regarding the $4.7b commitment to the FTTN network.
"It is deeply disturbing that the Minister remains unable to provide any additional clarity whatsoever on Labor's city-centric fibre proposal, yet it is crystal clear that taxpayers will be forking out $4.7 billion for whatever it is".
Well Mr Billson, in the 3 months since the Labour party came to power they have at least developed a strategic plan for Australia's broadband communications, unlike the 12 years of Coalition inaction.
